CENRO, LGU, ISU Cabagan on Tree Hugging Campaign with Pledge of Commitment.

Prior to the tree hugging activity, a simple program was conducted highlighting the importance of environmental stewardship and collective action for nature.

CENRO Nelson Acob shared a brief background of the Tree Hugging Campaign, emphasizing its purpose and the many benefits of nurturing and protecting trees. He underscored that tree hugging symbolizes love, care, and responsibility toward the environment.

MENRO Maja Layne Z. Edejer also highlighted the importance of caring for trees and the environment, stressing that nature must be protected because when the environment is destroyed, people ultimately suffer the consequences.

ISU Cabagan Campus Executive Officer Jane Cabauatan expressed her gratitude to the DENR and the LGU Cabagan for initiating the activity. She likewise encouraged everyone to continuously care for and safeguard the environment.

The activity concluded with the signing of a Pledge of Commitment, manifesting the participants’ collective concern and shared responsibility for Mother Earth.

Certificates of appreciation were awarded to both the CENRO and MENRO in recognition of their valuable insights and support for the campaign.
